In Sonic the Hedgehog[]
He first appeared in Sonic 3, where he appears as an antagonist. Robotnik had convinced him that Sonic the Hedgehog was using the Chaos Emeralds for evil. However, in Sonic and Knuckles, he realizes that Sonic was doing nothing wrong and that he had been tricked. Afterwards, he helps Sonic to regain the Chaos Emeralds. He helps out Sonic in later games, and gains a girlfriend, Rouge the Bat.
